The vacation resort of "Dorfgastein" is located right at the beginning of the Gastein Valley. Small, quaint and above all cozy - describes our region best. This description also fits our hotel perfectly. Get your ski pass at the hotel and take the ski bus from the hotel to the lift station. From the large parking lot, directly in front of the valley station, it's not far to the Dorfgastein/Großarl ski area.
A little tip: Try out a pair of new skis! Directly at the valley station (on the right-hand side) you have 2 ski rental shops to choose from. With expert advice, you are sure to find the perfect skis and increase your skiing pleasure by 100%! EXCEPT: Don't forget your helmet!
The little ski racers start right in the "Rauchleiten" at our practice lift. We definitely recommend one of our two ski schools, as this is the quickest way to learn to ski from scratch.
Experienced skiers can take the gondola lift up to the Fulseck or our peak restaurant the Gipflstadl (ideal meeting point for skiers and non-skiers to take a short break). Once up there at 2,033m above sea level, there are no limits to the skiing fun. Only one thing is certain - it's downhill - towards Dorfgastein or Grossarl - red, black, blue or "freeride" - everyone will find the right piste and will definitely get their money's worth.
An insider tip for all connoisseurs among you: Be sure to visit the "Kühhager". Do you love wide pistes and lively carving? Then you've come to the right place.
Continue to Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein. There you will find the largest interconnected ski area "SCHLOSSALM - ANGERTAL - STUBNERKOGEL". Ski slopes of all levels of difficulty, practice slopes for beginners and much more await you.
The SPORTGASTEIN ski area is located at the end of the Gastein Valley. At 1,590m above sea level, Sportgastein is the highest ski area in the Gastein Valley and delights freeriders and off-piste skiers.
Do you love difficult descents? Then the GRAUKOGEL is the right place for you. Good skiing technique and fitness are basic requirements for challenging fun on the slopes.
