Start at the parking lot, put on your touring skis and off you go up the mountain! Whether in open terrain or on the piste - there's something for everyone.
What should not be missing on a ski tour...
- Functional clothing for the ascent (several layers recommended)
- Dry & warm clothing for the descent (shirt, jacket, gloves, ski goggles, cap/helmet)
- Sufficient fluids (preferably warm)
- Energy boost for in between meals (dextrose, muesli bars, etc.)
- Avalanche equipment optional (avalanche beeper, shovel, etc.)
- Cell phone (with the Alpine emergency number: 140)
- Piste map of the Dorfgastein cable cars
Don't forget: The basic requirement for an off-road tour is the appropriate equipment and some basic knowledge about nature and its pitfalls. Are you not so "fit" but would still like to explore nature? Then we definitely recommend going on a tour with a guide.
