Cross-country skiing in the Gastein Valley

Cross-country skiing has been experiencing a real renaissance for some time now and is therefore considered the number one rediscovered trend sport. No wonder, because cross-country skiing is hard to beat from a health perspective. Added to this is the unique experience of nature: cross-country skiing is a sport for connoisseurs, for people who want to enjoy the unique magic of a snow-covered winter landscape in peace and quiet.

Dorfgastein, just like the entire Gastein Valley, offers excellent conditions for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. For example, there is the beautiful Mühlbach trail right in the village. It is around three kilometers long and is groomed for both classic technique and skating. The level of difficulty is "easy" and therefore perfect for inexperienced beginners and pleasure skiers. The Mühlbachloipe is a leisurely circuit that leads from Dorfgastein to the picturesque district of Maierhofen and back again. You will find the start of the trail right next to the Stoani restaurant, where you can stop for a bite to eat after your cross-country skiing fun if you feel peckish or fancy a coffee.
